DAVID'S POOL: WET-ON-WET PAINTING

Picture
Summer is coming and the weather is getting warmer. This makes me want to get wet and jump into a pool. Most pools are still closed to Covid-19 but we can PAINT one, just like David Hockney.

Who was David Hockney?

David Hockney (born in 1937) is a British artist who spends a lot of time in California painting colorful, bold swimming pools. The blue water in his paintings is so bright that you want to just dive into it.

Mr. Hockney painted a series of swimming pools using different colored paper pulp, to show the shimmering light on top of the water.
