ART RESUME

Hi. My name is Irma Grant. I'm a visual artist and teacher. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, lived in Canada and Sweden, and studied in France before moving to the United States of America.
My life's journey is chronicled in my art. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. While backpacking around the world, I kept an artistic journal of the people and the places that inspired me. Visiting temples and churches, sleeping in palaces and mud huts, walking though deserts and rain forests, all kindled my desire to capture the experience in unforgettable images. Documenting my travels through artistic representations inspired me to start pursuing art at a professional level.

Multicultural and nature themes dominate my art and outlook. Like a good book, my paintings visually narrate stories. Every image presents a new adventure: a means to express some of my favorite memories, moments and experiences.
I have exhibited my art at various group, solo, juried and non-juried art exhibitions and my work can be found in private and public art collections in the United States, Canada, South Africa and China.
