What is COVID-19? What is a virus?
A virus is like Voldemort, the villain in the Harry Potter series: not dead and not quite alive. Just like Voldemort taking over Professor Quirrell's body, COVID-19 gains power and starts living when it takes over a living cell. Once inside a living cell, COVID-19 goes viral by replicating, multiplying, itself very quickly; hence the term going viral. What does it look like? Under a microscope, COVID-19 looks like a sphere with spikes on its surface (which gives the corona virus its name, meaning 'crown' in Latin). In this lesson you will draw and color a COVID-19 virus; and then 'wash' it away with blue, bubble paint. MATERIALS NEEDED:
